I’m Gabby Cecere, LMSW. I graduated from Columbia University, NY in May of 2024 with my Masters in Clinical Social Work. I have been with my current practice, Building Blocks Family Counseling, for over 2 years. Beginning as an intern, I was brought on as a full-time associate upon my graduation this past May. I am currently pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist as well as obtaining my Clinical License.

Working with children has been my passion ever since I could remember. Conducting play therapy sessions with kiddos is my dream job- for real! Every day I come to work with a smile on my face because well… work isn’t work when you love what you do!

My therapeutic approach is client-centered which means, basically, it’s your world that you have invited me into, so graciously. That’s an honor! So while I’m here, we are going to do things your way. You tell me what you’re thinking and I will do my best to make your dreams a reality. I will guide you, and even tell you things you may not want to hear from time to time. But, I work with grace and the understanding that we are all human. We’ve never lived this life before and it’s messy! Whether it’s your first time being a caretaker, your first time experiencing a mental health struggle, or just face-to-face with new experiences… Let’s talk about it!
